Rail-Bridge Must Limit Dwell Time on Container Bookings May 9, 2006 - International steamship business is skyrocketing. As a result, “K” Line America (KAM) is feverishly working to supply containers to Asian ports to address the heightened demand for containers. Their task places a great deal of importance on moving empty containers out of North America as quickly as possible. We realize that this equipment dwell time reduction requires you to more closely manage your operations, and, to the extent possible, we will work with you to make our equipment available to your scheduled needs. However, KAM's instructions are clear and their need to quickly dispatch empties to Asia is very real. We expect this condition to exist through July, at which time we hope to return to a more liberal booking policy. Your understanding and cooperation will be greatly appreciated. We hope this temporary change can be managed with little or no inconvenience to you. All of us at Rail-Bridge look forward to continuing to service your intermodal needs.
