July 22, 2010 - Atlanta and Memphis Updates

ATLANTA:  RBC is re-instating the domestic lane from Atlanta to Seattle for 40-ft boxes.  This lane should remain in effect for the next several months.  The 40-ft rate from Atlanta to Seattle is $745 plus fuel.  Pat David in our Memphis office, 901-762-6368, will continue to handle this origin.  Empty 40-ft boxes should be picked up and loads dropped off at NS’ Austell terminal. 

MEMPHIS:  RBC is looking to improve the domestic equipment supply at Memphis by improving the use of chassis through domestic street turns.  Listed below are a number of truckers that generally have “K” Line equipment and are willing to street turn boxes.  As always, please obtain a booking number PRIOR to loading a box.  Pat David at 901-762-6368 covers Memphis.

RBC very much supports street turns from all RBC origin terminals.  If you need suggestions for local truckers from other locations, please do not hesitate to contact me or to contact our local Liner personnel.

Starting the week of 6/28/10, RBC will begin to transition our operations from E-Rail in Elizabeth, NJ over to Croxton, NJ. Please work with our local office during this period to ensure you know where to pick up empty boxes. All loads will go to Croxton effective the 28th. Matt Lockwald currently covers E–Rail/Croxton and his number is 630-599-2361.

RBC will no longer be able to offer 40-ft boxes from Atlanta to Seattle for domestic movement.

RBC is pleased to offer a 40-ft rate of $745 from Atlanta (Austell) to Seattle via NS-Memphis-UP. We have a good supply of 40s available at Atlanta and these can be booked on REZ-1. Pat David in our Memphis office covers Atlanta. She can be reached at 901-762-6368. In addition, please remember that RBC only offers 40-ft rates from E-Rail to Seattle and no rates to LA, Oakland or
Portland.
